Young Girl Watched Helpessly As Her Father Died

Dear Friends,
I’m reaching out to you at this crucial time in my life because only with your soft and generous hearts will I be able to move forward. When I was only 6 years old my father was diagnosed with cancer. For two years I watched helplessly as his condition deteriorated. I felt guilty but there was nothing I can do. After my father passed away I tried my best to be strong and not let this tragedy get in my way. I didn’t want my mother to suffer anymore. Of course, this was very stressful as I was young and traumatized.
It is now 10 years later and I am engaged to be married. Unfortunately, my chosson and I have much in common. He hardly knew his father as he was just two when he passed away. It all happened so soon, two short months after he was diagnosed. Though we each had our hardships I feel confident toward a bright future where we can build on each other’s strengths and truly accomplish. Please feel our pain with your full heart and help us so that we can have a chance to celebrate at this joyous time.
We have no one to rely upon but you! In this merit may you and you family be healthy and happy for all the years to come!
